Sweet Violet Cake Company has closed it's oven doors for good. We said goodbye to fondant and gumpaste, to cake pans and butter creams December 31, 2011. I would like to thank my family, my friends and my wonderful devoted, kind customers for your support.
To my husband, thank you for your support and for believing in me and mostly for signing on the dotted line even when you thought the better of it. Guess I should have listened to you, we would probably still be happy and together today.
Many thanks to the tireless cake designers who endured, at times, some of the cruelest critisisms of your beautiful work. Only other cake designers know how we burn the night away working on cakes. It's a lonely business. Just glimpse at our gallery to see the caliber of work we produced and imagine someone picking apart the work AFTER they ate the cake and then having the nerve to demand their money back. Crazy people! But I digress...
Allow me to recognize some of the most amazing artists who desinged killer cakes for you:
Leigh, Geisel, Shannon, Brittney and even Jane (Jane the cookie Queen)
To our self proclaimed "kitchen bitch" Elizabeth...woman you are one buttercream making machine!
To Lance, Man all I can say is thank you for your devotion. And what a brilliant chef! Thank you for not quitting when you wanted to a thousand times and for not giving up on me but mostly for not killing me and burying me under the building. I know you wanted to.
I will still post some of my favorite recipes and even some of my cake recipes if you are good and visit often. Need help with a cake problem, feel free to contact me. Don't get mad if I don't answer right away - I'm a career woman. I have moved to California so I can't make a cake from my home. Wouldn't want to anyway.
Write me at sweetvioletcakecompany@gmail.com for advice.
